Wild Life Park became EAZA member

Izmir Wild Life Park, which was open in the month of December, 2008 and drew great attention ever since the day it opened, placed a candidacy application in with (EAZA) European Association of Zoos and Aquaria through a unanimous decision of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council on January 11, 2010.  In the end of investigations and evaluations of councils; Park earned right to EAZA membership.

(EAZA) European Association of Zoos and Aquaria was established in year 1992.  It is aiming to provide cooperation on many subjects and primarily in training, research and conservation in zoos.  There are 300 different organizations from 35 different countries, which have memberships with the EAZA.  EAZA is providing research and technical assistance to raise standards of zoos and designating standards for becoming member and for members to come to an advanced level.  Creating nourishment programs that are near to diets of wild animal in natural environment and determining the standards regarding to nourishment of wild animals is also among the work performed by EAZA.
